{"id":3632,"date":"2025-05-15T09:05:49","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T07:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gaia-x.nl\/?p=3632"},"modified":"2025-05-15T09:05:51","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T07:05:51","slug":"coe-dsc-and-dcc-community-meeting-on-european-initiatives-in-the-field-of-sovereign-cloud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gaia-x.nl\/en\/events\/coe-dsc-and-dcc-community-meeting-on-european-initiatives-in-the-field-of-sovereign-cloud\/","title":{"rendered":"CoE-DSC and DCC Community Meeting on European initiatives in the field of sovereign cloud"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The European cloud must quickly become independent.&nbsp;Everyone agrees on that.&nbsp;The European Commission plays a role in this by stimulating IPCEI projects, but the private sector is also taking steps to set up collaborations within the European Union, across borders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On June 18, 2025, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dutchcloudcommunity.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dutch Cloud Community (DCC)<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coe-dsc.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CoE-DSC<\/a>\/TNO invite you to a meeting about the various European initiatives in the field of sovereign cloud.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agenda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CEO of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dynamic.cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dynamo Cloud<\/a>, Francesco Bonfiglio, will be present to explain this pioneering federated European cloud marketplace and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will also give space to the non-commercial&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.euro-stack.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eurostack<\/a>&nbsp;initiative, which advocates a European purchasing policy aimed at stimulating its own industry.&nbsp;Eurostack co-founder Cristina Caffarra will update us on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/euro-stack.eu\/the-white-paper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whitepaper<\/a>&nbsp;that has been recently published, and the future plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, we will look at the ongoing IPCEI trajectory IPCEI-CIS and at new trajectories that are in the pipeline.&nbsp;Wido Potters shares his experiences with ECOFED, a project that is working on an open, federated cloud model.&nbsp;ECOFED has now delivered the first production-ready innovations and much more is scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christiaan Meinsma of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rvo.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RVO<\/a>&nbsp;(Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (Netherlands Enterprise Agency)) will take us through the expected new EPCEI-projects.
