The European cloud must quickly become independent. Everyone agrees on that. The European Commission plays a role in this by stimulating IPCEI projects, but the private sector is also taking steps to set up collaborations within the European Union, across borders.
On June 18, 2025, the Dutch Cloud Community (DCC) and CoE-DSC/TNO invite you to a meeting about the various European initiatives in the field of sovereign cloud.
Agenda
The CEO of Dynamo Cloud, Francesco Bonfiglio, will be present to explain this pioneering federated European cloud marketplace and collaboration.
We will also give space to the non-commercial Eurostack initiative, which advocates a European purchasing policy aimed at stimulating its own industry. Eurostack co-founder Cristina Caffarra will update us on the whitepaper that has been recently published, and the future plans.
In addition, we will look at the ongoing IPCEI trajectory IPCEI-CIS and at new trajectories that are in the pipeline. Wido Potters shares his experiences with ECOFED, a project that is working on an open, federated cloud model. ECOFED has now delivered the first production-ready innovations and much more is scheduled.
Christiaan Meinsma of the RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (Netherlands Enterprise Agency)) will take us through the expected new EPCEI-projects. He will explain which steps are needed to prepare ourselves now, so that we can actually get involved later, if we want to.
